Christ-centered: Jesus is the reason for our apostolate – our beginning and our end. We acknowledge that all grace comes from Him and from His sacrifice on the cross, renewed for us continually in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We rejoice in His continued presence with us Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and we strive to make Him more known and more loved by all the families of the world.
Contemplative: Our first mission field is within our own domestic churches where we work toward deepening conversion for our own souls and for the souls entrusted to our care by the bonds of family life. We strive to cultivate a habit of prayer within our families and preach the Gospel of Christ by the living witness of our love. We also devote ourselves to the practice of the interior life by our fidelity to our vocations and to lives of prayer, especially before the Blessed Sacrament. We do this for the sanctification of our own souls, for the souls of those in our families, and for families around the world.
Apostolic: Our apostolic mission in the Church is given to us by the Lord Himself that we may witness to Christ throughout the world, beginning with those closest to us – our spouses, parents, children, relatives, neighbors, co-workers, and friends. We seek to build up the family of God in HIs Church by loving with Christian charity all who cross our path in life. We see each person as a temple of the Holy Spirit, a living image of God, the Creator, whom we are called to serve in love. We serve with joy. We give cheerfully. We trust that we, ourselves, are being continually transformed in Christ through prayer, and we allow Christ’s love to flow through us to the families of the world. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, we give of ourselves as we are able to active works of the apostolate and seek to increase devotion to the Holy Eucharist.
Universal: We desire that all families may come to know and to love Christ. The Holy Family Prayer Apostolate is open to all. We each get our start in life in a human family, and we are each called to the perfection of holiness in the family of God.
